Common occurances...

This morning I went in to pay annual taxes for our new property. I managed to find the complex of city government buildings quite easily. I stated my business and was continually directed to the yellow house. I quickly found myself thoroughly confused as ALL THE BUILDINGS were yellow, the colour of the city emblem. As I drove around in circles for a while, sure enough, I finally came across one proudly titled, you guessed it: THE YELLOW HOUSE.
(the picture to the left is Van Gogh's 'The Yellow House')

Then, continuing on to remove the mail forwarding for our electric bill, I entered the small air-conditioned office of the electric company. There were no other customers in the room, just the 3 attendants whom I greeted. I sat down at one of the desks. I was then kindly asked to go take a number, which I obediently did and returned to the same desk to be attended to. Oh well, go with the flow I guess.

In the end, I was able to take care of both errands. Yeah!
